This novella is a fine effort from a young author. The narrative was related in a concise, logical and rapid fire fashion. The style reminded me of a Mickey Spillane novel.I would like to see a little more depth added to the story perhaps by describing a facet of one of the many cultures present in Florida or by adding some back story information concerning Melanie's co-workers. The liberties Melanie and her cohorts took with the Bill of Rights would in reality result in major jail time and big legal bills to defend civil suits but that is a minor point. Also days don't get very short in South Florida.
Overall I would give this offering a definite thumbs up. I hope the writer continues to hone her craft.
